TARA SAGA is a transmedia documentary project about Tara, the ancient historical site in Co. Meath, Ireland and the latest battle there to do with the M3 motorway being built through it’s landscape.
This website will act as a record of the making of the documentary. Rough edits and raw footage will be uploaded here to encourage an online dialogue on the many issues. It is hoped that the site will become a lively home for discussion about the ongoing situation in Co. Meath, and about the sustainability of infrastructure plans in Ireland. Comparisons will be made with transport infrastructures and heritage protection in other countries. The historical significance of the area will be looked at in detail from 3500BC to the present day.
