Tara Saga
Tara Saga is a documentary project currently on the shelf. Started in 2007, this film explores the stories of those who tried to 'save Tara' from the oncoming M3 motorway. Tara is the ancient capital of Ireland, the site which was home to high kings and goddesses, and central in over 5000 years of history and mythology. At the turn of this millennium plans were made to build a motorway through the valley of Tara, known to contain undiscovered sites of importance. The bulldozers came and people fought them. The bulldozers won.
The documentary is intended to be about more than this however. It is about Irish identity...
